Valérie Lavaure works from her remote studio just outside Uzès, France, where she weaves beautiful, functional baskets by hand. With a soft spot for colour, she explores the rich spectrum afforded by the different varieties of willow, just like the array of tints on this basket. Although purpose-built by design – intended for strawberries and other fruits – it’s equipped for a host of other functions, both in and out of the home.
