Hee Woo’s bamboo-based craft is hands-on in every respect; first, the stems are picked from Damyang in South Korea, before they’re heated, rubbed and dried naturally in the sun for several months. These strips are then painstakingly woven together in a process both tactile and time-consuming, with every aspect individually assessed to ensure detail-oriented results such as this tray.
